40 Days of Fasting and Praying (Consecration)

On past Wednesday (Ash Wednesday), God called Apostle Malone into His presence concerning himself and TBC and gave him specific instructions to:

~ REPENT FOR DISOBEDIENCE AND MURMURING
~ COMPLETE THE OPERATION ACCELERATION
~ 40-DAY CONSECRATION

Ash Wednesday is the beginning of "LENT". Lent comes from a Latin word that means 40th. During the season of Lent, we never count Sunday because it is considered resurrection day.

Lent season is a time of self-denial, consecration and rededication to God. The following are 3 things we should focus on:

1: Prayer-Communication with God Matthew 6:9-12 KJV

2: Fasting-Cleansing ourselves Matthew 4:1-11 KJV

3: Almsgiving-Giving to someone in need Matthew 6:1-4 KJV

It is also a time to remember when Jesus fasted for 40 days in the wilderness. Apostle is asking all that will and can to be in attendance this Saturday, March 3rd, 2012 at TBC for a special time of prayer at 9 a.m. All are invited and encouraged to come! Everyone is welcome!

Why Pray?

Excerpt from Prayers
Christian Word Ministries

"Praying to our Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus Christ, using God's Holy Word (scripture) in prayer is the most powerful thing we can do for ourselves and others. The heart of prayer is the Will of our Heavenly Father: Part of that Will is simply coming to Him. He desires us, as His dear children to know Him. He desires your love, your attention, your fellowship (more than just being related to Him through Jesus), He also desires a time of communion, an intimate time of personal exchange and involvement, and finally a release of His Will and manifest Presence in the earth through prayer.

As you pray for your needs and the needs of others, you are actually becoming a prayer warrior, an intercessor, just as Jesus was and is today for each of us. Jesus is constantly interceding for us to our Heavenly Father. It is written that Jesus was sent to destroy the works of the devil, 1 John 3:8. We are to do the same. We have the power and authority through Jesus Christ. All we have to do is live in the promise of the Word of God and to use His precious Name.

The most powerful weapons we have are the Name of Jesus Christ and God's Holy Word against satan and his foul wicked demons. No power of darkness can stand against the Word of God in the Name of Jesus Christ, and through the Blood of Jesus Christ."

Prayerlessness is a sin according to 1 Samuel 12:23.

What is Spiritual Warfare?

Excerpt from Rules of Engagement
By Cindy Trimm

"Psalm 144:1-15 records the prayer of a skilled warrior by the name of David. From his days as a shepherd boy and throughout his reign as king of the nation of Israel, God empowered him in the art, science, and technologies of strategic prayer and spiritual warfare.

His skill and expertise were gained as God, in His sovereignty, placed him in the midst of a variety of battles ranging from encounters with bears and lions, to his confrontation with Golaith, and the battle he fought with his son, Absalom, whose defiant insurrection almost cost him his kingdom. In this Psalm, David lets us know that it was Jehovah Gibbor, the Mighty Man of War who taught him warfare strategies and tactics, and provided the divine empowerment for success. He lifts his voice in adulation to honor God, his strength. He declares, "Blessed be the Lord, my Rock, and my keen and firm Strength, Who teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight-My steadfast Love and my Fortress, my High Tower and my Deliverer, my Shield and He in Whom I trust and take refuge, Who subdues my people under me" (Psalm 144:1-2, AMP)

From David's life experiences, I have learned that the only way you can become a skillful warrior is to be trained and placed in the midst of a battle. It is only when you are placed in the furnace of afflictions, and when all hell seems to break loose around you, that you can truly be trained in the art of strategic prayer and spiritual warfare. Practice does not make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect. You will never get the level of training you need in order to become an effective prayer warrior, by engaging in "war games." You must face a real enemy on a real battlefield. It is when God trains you in the midst of an actual battle, that you gain true experience. Simply reading the Bible or attending workshops and conferences will never make you an effective warrior. Proverbs implies that knowledge without experience is folly."

Steps to Salvation

Scriptural Steps to Salvation
1. ACKNOWLEDGE: "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) "God be merciful to me a sinner." (Luke 18:13) You must acknowledge that you are a sinner, according to the Word.

2. REPENT: "Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Luke 13:3). "Repent ye therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out." (Acts 3:19) You must desire a change and see the awfulness of sin then repent of it.

3. CONFESS: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful, and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (I John 1:9) "With the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:10) Confess not to men but to God.

4. FORSAKE: "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord...for he will abundantly pardon." (Isaiah 55:7) Sorrow for sin is not enough in itself. We must want to be done with it once and for all.

5. BELIEVE:"For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) "If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shall be saved." (Romans 10:9) Believe in the finished work on the cross.

6. RECEIVE:He came unto his own, and his own received Him not. But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believed in His name."(I John 1:11-12) Christ must be received into the heart by faith, if you are to be Born Again.

Make a decision today:"I am convinced by God's word that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus Christ died for sinners and shed His blood to put away my sins. I now invite Jesus to become Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. With His help, I will confess Him before men."
